He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph Connors and Margaret Sampson; his daughter Cary Connors; and his siblings, Michael, Joseph and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Fran (Gottschall); his children, Maureen, Peter (Shelley) and Jimmy (Brooke); his grandchildren, Chris (Nicole), Zach (Hannah), Makenzie, Josh, Hanna (Zach), Hunter and River; his great grandchildren, Charli and Chloe; and his siblings, John, Danny (Ruby) and Martha.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations in Jim Connors' memory be made to the St. Martha's Regional Hospital Foundation.
