He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth (Hatt) and Andrew Thomas Madden; his wife Florence (Green); his sisters, Stella Fraser and Jessie Madden; and his brothers-in-law, Lawrence Layes and Alex Fraser.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy (Dennis Stewart), Meadow Green, Helen MacLellan (AJ), Frasers Mills, Jimmy and Tommy; his grandchildren, Andrew and Ashley MacLellan (Chris Wright); his great grandchildren, Lori, Lexi and Lindi; and his sister Ethel Layes (New Glasgow). He is also survived by many in-laws in his extended family, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the C. L. Curry Funeral Home (135 College St, Antigonish, NS B2G1X9). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrews Church.
Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke or the St. Andrews Parish Cemetery.
