He was predeceased by: his brother George William; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Ray, Lorine MacEachern and Ronald MacEachern. He is survived by: his wife Mary Teresa Ray (MacEachern); his brother Kenneth Ray of Lowell, MA; his friend Enrica Casali; and his siblings-in-law, Eva Kessler of Johnston, PA, Ann MacPherson, Cecilia Grant, Betty Farrell, John Mac, Gerard MacEachern, Daniel MacEachern and Cape George. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in memory of John to Holy Rosary Church, Ballantyne's Cove.
