We announce the death of John Lafford (Antigonish, Nova Scotia), who passed away on June 14, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Lafford and Margaret Lafford (Stevens); and his siblings, Levi, Patrick of Maine, Earl (Hubba), Joseph (Mary) of Paqtnkek, Linda Lafford of Maine, Helen and Annie Lafford of Paqtnkek.
He is survived by: his children, Mindy Caron (Maine), Jay Julian (Leanne), Cape Breton and Colin Julian (Paqtnkek); his grandson Silas MacDonald-Julian; his children, Lucian Levi Julian, We'koqma'q First Nation, Ava Lee Googoo and Kyra Paige Googoo; his sisters, Mary Ann (Harold), Judy Jones (Kenneth), Joan and Sandra Landry; and his godson Michael Lafford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
