It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Ann Elizabeth Layes (Antigonish, Nova Scotia), born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 18, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis "Boom" and Veronica Rose MacDonald (Poirier); and her stepfather Ira Colborne. She is survived by: her children, Tammy, Dwayne (Shannon) and Jeff; her grandchildren, Timmy (Krista), Stefan (Crissy), Kristian, Lesley, Tyler, Shawn, Haley (Greg), Taylor, Adam, Jesse and Willow; her great grandchildren, Twyla, Maxine, Jace and Paisley; and her siblings, Marie (Brian), Irene (Roger), Ardyth (Tom), Ivan (Patti) and Wayne (Lauralee). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
