He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald McKenna and Dorothy McKenna (Mattie); his wife Mary Elizabeth (Brown); his sisters, Maureen and Katherine (Kitty); his siblings-in-law, Melinda McKenna (Bowie), Brenda Brown (Connor), Richard MacKinnon, Joseph Tramble, Alexander Brown, Lauchie MacDonald and Theo Blanchard; and his nephew Douglas McKenna.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Ann (Leo Floyd) and Joseph Gerald (Jerry); his grandchildren, Jenna Floyd and Mark Floyd; his great grandchild Rose Ann Floyd-McDonald; his siblings, Carol Pelly (Wayne) of Lantz, NS and Patrick; his siblings-in-law, James Brown, John R. Brown of Houston, TX, Catherine Ann MacDonald of Big Marsh, Marcella Brown of Big Marsh and Bernadette Brown of Big Marsh; and his nephews, Michael Pelly and Darcy MacDonald. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the MacIsaac Funeral Home (61 Pleasant St, Antigonish, NS B2G1W7). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St Ninian's Cathedral (121 St Ninian St, Antigonish, NS B2G1Y9).
