We bid farewell to Laura Mae Dort (Antigonish, Nova Scotia), born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 14, 2025. Laura Mae touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Benoit and Josephine Benoit (Myette); and her husband David Dort. She is survived by: her daughter Julie; her stepchildren, Carrie (Stephen), California, Phillip (Sarah) and Alberta; her brother Carroll Benoit (Karen) of Tracadie; her grandchildren, Max, Alex, Parker, Paige, Penny and Eli; her nephew Chad Benoit; her niece Jana; and her friends, Rosie Glenn, Heather Fitzpatrick and Jennie MacPherson.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:15 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Martha's Regional Hospital or The RK MacDonald Nursing Home.
