He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard B. MacDonald and Mildred MacDonald (Venedam); and his son John James. He is survived by: his wife Yolande (Biron); his children, Lori Wirvin (Mike) of Ipswitch, MA, Michelle MacDonald (Nairn) of Calgary, AB, Leonard, Mark (Nicole), Pomquet and Michael (Jennifer); his siblings, Wayne MacDonald (Paula), Charlene Long, Rochelle Benoit (Robert), Jocelyn Landry and Kimberly MacDonald; and his grandchildren, Kate, Rudy, Sophia, Malcolm, Maggie, Emma, Aiden, Brennan, Ciara, Damon and Elyssa.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Martha's Regional Hospital Foundation (Oncology) or the Canadian Cancer Society. Requested Charity St. Martha's Regional Hospital Foundation (Oncology) or the Canadian Cancer Society.
