The memory of Martha Mildred MacDonald (Antigonish, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 26, 2025, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Chisholm and Margaret Chisholm (Connolly); her former husband Fred Day; her husband Roderick "Roddie" MacDonald; her son James Day; and her siblings, John (Bib), Francis, Harold, Mary Alice (Ferguson), Florence (Costello) and Rita (Fredericks).
She is survived by: her nephew Chuck; her grandchildren, Joey, Tim, Nikki, Jessie, Kaylee and Allie; her children, Darrel (Carolyn), Margie, Alberta, Della (Bill) and Sean (Michael) of Vancouver, BC; her daughter-in-law Diane Briand (Dunmore); and her sisters, Evelyn Spellar of Dartmouth and Joan MacIsaac of Dartmouth. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; nephews and, nieces.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the C. L. Curry Funeral Home (135 College St, Antigonish, NS B2G1X9). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Townsview Estates Recreation Fund (P.O. Box 1825, Truro, NS, B2N 5Z5) would be appreciated.
