He is survived by: his parent Dorothy "Dot" Power (MacDonald); his wife Lillian (MacFarlane); his children, Michelle, Stephanie of Antigonish and Andrew; his daughter-in-law Sylvia Navas Faria of Ottawa; and his grandson Charles Thomas "Charlie". He is also survived by his cousins, in-laws, extended family, and many colleagues and friends.
