He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Dunbar and Ada Dunbar (Kavanaugh); and his siblings, Lee, Cyril, Shirley and Marilyn.

He is survived by: his wife Mary (MacKenzie); his children, Paul (Millie), Purl Brook, Anita, Brenda of Hamilton, ON and Troy; and his sisters, Hope MacDonald and Joan MacIsaac. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.

Donations in memory may be made to the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home Foundation.
