He was predeceased by : his parents, Trueman Smith and Verona Smith (Marchand); his brother-in-law Boyd McKenna; and his grandparents, B. J., Eugenie Marchand, John E. and Libby Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Ann; his daughter Nicole; and his siblings, Caroline Burke (John), Dr. Pat McKenna (Bob Chisholm), Dr. Trueman Smith (Laurie), Tennessee and Margaret Anne Stewart (Harry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society or charity of your choice.
