He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Purcell and Dorothea Purcell; and his siblings, Ralph G. Purcell Dartmouth (Chris), C. Kenneth Purcell and Eileen Purcell.
He is survived by: his friends, Steven O'Leary, Gordon Gillis and Ronnie MacEachern; his wife Lorraine; his sons, Matthew Purcell (BC) and Nathan Purcell (Lindsay) of Pomquet; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Nolan, Rowan and Addison; and his siblings, Edward Purcell Antigonish (Chris), Elnora MacNeil Dartmouth (Roy), Paula Purcell, Ottawa, Shawn Purcell, Thomas Purcell and Terry Neary (Robert) of Fairmont.
Memorial donations in Robert's memory may be made to St. Martha's Palliative Care Unit.
