He is survived by: his wife Ruth Merte; his children, Michelle (Simon Kent), Allison (Kevin Pohl), Allan and Sarah (Geordie MacDonald); and his grandchildren, Cameron, Shaelyn, Taylor, Mallory, Ries, Lauren, Daniel, Nathan, Jessica, Joseph, Megan, Jenna, Anna, Téa, Rowan and Graeme.
