He was predeceased by : his parents, Adam Kirk and Florence Kirk (MacMillan); his grandparents, Alexander and Jessie MacMillan; and his siblings, Robert, Henry, Lena and Jennie.

He is survived by : his siblings, Jessie Detweiler (Bill), Lillian Kirk (Les), Bertha Kirk (Mike), Shirley Kirk, James (Mary Ellen), Valley, Johnny Tennessee (Betty), Adam (Beverly) and Cape Breton. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

St. James/St. Paul Cemetery Requested Charity St, Martha's Hospital Foundation; Antigonish Food Bank or Charity of Choice.
