He is survived by: his significant other Sarah MacDonald; his significant other's daughter Hope Deveau of Heatherton; his sons, Tyler Olsen of Cape Jack, Caileb of Cape Jack and Kiean of Cape Jack; his brother Keith Samson (Sampsons Cove); his nephew Nathan Oliver (Sampsons Cove); his godson Zachary; Drake Polley.

Memorial donations in memory of Jaret may be made to the Diabetes Association of Nova Scotia.
