As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Magdalena may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adrianus and Maria Catharina Van (Venedall); her husband Daniel O'Connell Madden; her daughter Alice Madden; and her brother Henk Van (Bunt).
She is survived by: her children, Maria Edwards (Trevor), Nora Paterson, Mahagie Proudfoot (Gail), Lynn MacLean and Edward (Barb Elwell). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews from her large extended family.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society, Pay it Forward Angel Fund or to the Strait Richmond Kidney Dialysis Unit.
