He is survived by : his children, Lorraine Marshall and Roger Mellen Sr. Membertou (Amanda); his grandchildren, Roger Mellen Jr., Riley Mellen, Rory Mellen, Joseph Jordan Phillips, Carvery Sandra Phillips and Javon Marshall; his siblings, James Basque (Jenny O'Toole) of Potlotek, Jerome Basque (Cynthia) of Potlotek, Kenny Basque (Diane) of Potlotek, Lloyd Basque of Potlotek, Juliana Bernard, Weko'maq, Belinda "Binta" Basque and Anita Basque; his godmother Irene "Mooney" Johnson Potlotek; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Basque.
