He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James, Rebecca Pentz, Robert and Ellen "Nellie" Carey; his parents, Louis Carey and Sadie Carey (Pentz); his daughter Patricia Star; his grandson Ryan; his brothers, Raymond, John, Thomas "Echo" (Joan) and Donald; his brothers-in-law, Thomas and Jerry Ryan; his sisters, Phyllis Fraser (Eric), Sophie Tucker (Gord), Martha Genter (Ken), Catherine Rudderham (George), Collette and Isabel Carey; his sisters-in-law, Annie Carey and Barbara Menzies; and his niece Sara.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Carey; his children, Dawn Dorrington (Nick), Al Carey (Kim), Mary and Shelia; his siblings, Alfred, George (Freda), Auley (Ella), JoeGlen (Michelle), Marg Philips (Allister) and Gladys Howell (Freddy); his siblings-in-law, Alberta, Cathy, George, Wilma, Bill Frivalt and Karen Ryan; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, Michelle, Madison, Mitchel and Cole. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
