He was predeceased by : his parents, Milton Allison Newell and Freda June Newell (Smith); and his grandparents, Allison, Hazel Newell (Swaine), Spencer and Carrie Smith (Penney).

He is survived by : his wife Lois Ann Newell (Newell); his daughter Lisa Devine (Newell); his grandchildren, Joshua, Amy and Jamie of Yarmouth, NS; his son Andrew Newell (Shana); his grandchildren, Peyton, Paisley and Paxton of Newellton, NS; and his siblings, Lorraine Bower (Barry) of Saint John, NB and Dwayne Newell (Renee) of West Head, NS..

Due to Covid-19 restriction, seating may be limited to 150 people and social distancing guidelines must be followed (immediate family will be given priority for seating).

Donations may be made to the West Head Cemetery.
