It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Ervie Strang of Barrington, Nova Scotia, born in Port Clyde, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 10, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Hayward Strang and Georgina Strang (Williams); his former life partner Anita Strang (Symonds); and his brother Mervin Strang. He is survived by : his wife Mary Ellen Malcolm Strang; his children, Laura Messenger (Joey) of Cape Island, Edward Strang (Jolene Penney) of Cape Island, Sean Strang (Melanie) of Warman, SK, Troy Strang (Lisa Bilyk) of Sheet Harbour, Robert Strang (Charla) of Cape Island and Robin Strang of Shelburne; his grandchildren, John, Sean, Amber Messenger, Chad Strang, Caitlyn, Dylan Strang, Rylee Bilyk, Ella, Abby Strang and Maggie Strang; his great grandchildren, Graydon Messenger, Cody, Aidan Strang, Cooper and Charlie Huskins; his stepchildren, Kim Chipman (Earl) of Alberta, Sheri Pringle (Kenneth) of Ontario, Tracy Boutilier (Howard) of Eastern Passage and Rodney Malcolm of Dartmouth; his brother Rod Strang (Cindy) of Oregon, USA; and his half-sisters, Janis Lauzon (Rodger) of Annapolis and Verlee Strang of Truro. He is also survived by many step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
