Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Eleanor Lydia Ann Atwood (Barrington, Nova Scotia), who passed away at the age of 93, on November 16, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashley Smith and Bessie Smith (Nickerson); her former husband Alvin; her husband Richard; her sons, Gary and Terry; her grandson Colin; and her siblings, Stella Wickens, Delma Smith, Robert Smith, Herman Smith, Harold Smith, Norma Ross and Aubrey Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Eunice (Courtney), Stephen (Barbara), Brian, Sandra (Daryl) and Blair; and her sister Isabelle Devine (Kenneth). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the H. M. Huskilson's Funeral Home (2821 Nova Scotia Trunk 3, Barrington, NS B0W1E0). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the H. M. Huskilson's Memorial Chapel (Barrington, NS).
She spent many hours collecting for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
