He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Smith and Julia Smith (Ross); and his daughter Linda. He is survived by : his child Lennie; his wife Reta (Nickerson); his sister Madeline Smith; his children, Laura Ross (Howard), Jeanie Smith (Ronnie), Bobby Smith (Marlene), Julia Jones (Ralph) and Jennifer Cormier (Richard); and his grandchildren, Richard, Sherry, Tania, Linda, Jordon, Cory, Shannon, Matthew, Jenna and Jasmine. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

It has been requested that there be family flowers only, and donations can be made in Lennie's name to the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund.
