Owen Symonds Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Owen Symonds of Barrington, Nova Scotia, born in Clarks Harbour, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 17, 2021 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Owen Symonds to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Symonds and Laura Symonds; his wife Goldie Symonds; his daughter Betty Penney; his stepchildren, Melba, Leslie and Gary; his siblings, Judy Smith, Waldina Jones, Roland Symonds and Robie Symonds; his granddaughter Robyn Nickerson; and his stepgranddaughter Angie Penney.

He is survived by : his daughters, Susan Townsend (Shawn) and Leora White; his stepchildren, Parnell Goodwin (Frank), Diane Harris-Buchanan, Rosemary Kaiser (Calvin), Clayton Penney, Tony Penney (Debbie) and Roxanne Hallett (Tommy); his grandchildren, Anthony Swim, Kary Penney and Owen Nickerson; and his nephew Wayne Symonds. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Heat & Stroke Foundation, Lung Association, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
