It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheldon Ivan Symonds (Barrington, Nova Scotia), born in Clarks Harbour, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Symonds and Dorothy Symonds (Nickerson); his former life partner Lena Symonds (Newell); and his siblings, Charles, Sandy, Faye, Rosalie, Marina, Ramona and Kathleen.

He is survived by : his wife Doreen Symonds (Goodwin); his sons, William Symonds (Sylvia), Stanley Symonds (Darlette) and Ivan Symonds (Deane); his grandchildren, Billy, Raymond, Jeremy, Sheena, Susann and Kattie; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Rayen, Jacob, Billie Ann, Camden, Isla, Liam and Jayden; his great great grandchildren, Ivy, Sheldon and Forrest; and his sisters, Norma Lee Shand and Muriel Anderson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Newellton Cemetery, Newellton United Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
