He was predeceased by : his parents, Alvah Blades and Carrie Blades (Newell); and his close friend Greg Currie. He is survived by : his sons, Tyson (Danielle), Ian (Shauna) and Mason (Courtney); his grandchildren, Chase, Mariah, Tiarah, Xander, Xavier and Linnea; his sister Carolee Quinlan; his niece Danielle; his close friends, Marie and Kevin; and also Vicki Nickerson (Dale).

Memorial donations in Victor's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Newellton Cemetery.
