She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Mood and Odessa Mood (Pierce); her husband Neil Eugene Nickerson; and her sister Phyllis Pauline. She is survived by: her children, Kirk (Irene), Gregory (Darlene), Joel (Christine) and Charmaine Atkinson; her brother James Mood; her grandchildren, Jenny, Nicole, Jordan, Nicholas, Charissa, Vanessa, Joelle, Beth, Connor and Noah; and her great grandchildren, Liam, Ivy, Henry, Colin, Navy, Luke, Rhea, Ajooni, Hannah, Nolan and Imogen.
During isolation in Covid 2019 and the Forest Fires in 2023, when asked how she was holding up after being evacuated she would always say " We will persevere".
