He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Porter and Lottie Porter; and his sister Sylvia Hinds. He is survived by: his sisters, Doris Bugley (Charles) of Tidnish Bridge, NS and Joan; and his brother-in-law Gilbert Hinds of Middleton, NS..
