He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Lawrence and Doris Elleanor Durling; his brother Tony Durling; his uncle Murray Lewis; and his aunts, Jean, Marjorie, Beatrice, Bernice, Joyce, Eileen and Myrtle Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Durling; his stepchildren, Betty Hodder (Otis) and Fred Ward (Karen); and his siblings, Betty Hannam, Paulette Buchanan, Danny Durling (Diane), John Durling (Kay) and Gary Durling (Jennie). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
