She was predeceased by: her parents, George Ethelbert Briand (L'Ardoise) and Kathleen Margaret Briand (Fewer) of Halifax; and her brothers, Jack (Flora) and Roy (Ruby). She is survived by: her sister Nancy of Halifax; her husband Wilfred "Fred" Percy of St. John's, Newfoundland.; her sibling's children, Peter, Lee (Alicia), Mhilo, Holly, Kelly and Hannah; her great-niece Morgan; and her great-nephew Austin.

In her honour, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or Cancer Care Nova Scotia.
