We bid farewell to Edith Gertrude Young (Bedford, Nova Scotia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 3, 2024 at the age of 89. Edith Gertrude touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by : her husband Harold Matthew; her son David (Mary Ellen); her grandson Matthew Amyotte; her parents, William Anderson and A. Mildred Anderson; and her siblings, Ronald, Carol, Laurine, Shirley, June and Evelyn.

She is survived by : her children, Marilyn Byce, Bernard (Nora Robicheau), Peggy Amyotte (Paul), Christine Young (John Hibsman) and Robert (Ann).

Donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

“Who didn't love Edie? She was a faithful and beloved member of our Monday quilting group for many, many years. Every week we would listen to proud stories of her loving family; sometimes humorous, sometimes sad. Over tea, that she regularly organized, we welcomed chats with every topic under the sun! I will miss her positive attitude, her encouragement and her multitude of needlework skills. We all will terribly miss seeing her walk through the door this fall. With my Sympathy,NancyJennings”
