He is survived by: his wife Jean Coutts (Whitson); his brother Martin Jr. (Bud) of Kitchener, ON; his children, Stephen of Bedford, NS, Susan (Stuart Watson) of Mississauga, ON, David of Bedford, NS and Carol Ann (David Jarrett) of Dartmouth, NS.; and his grandchildren, Katie, Kim, Andrew, Heather, Matthew, Michael, Graeme, Grace, Adam, Nick and Ben.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Atlantic Funeral Home (125 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville, NS B4C2R3).
