With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Gillis of Bedford, Nova Scotia, born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 9, 2021 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margaret Gillis to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Finlay Arthur and Catherine Ellen Blair (MacLeod); her husband John Robert Gillis; her sons, Billy, Douglas and Arthur; her granddaughter Ellen LeBrun; and her siblings, Mary Greene, Jane Horton and Duncan Greene.

She is survived by : her children, Catherine Burgoyne (Clarence) and Alan Gillis (Rose Corkum); her children-in-law, Doreen Gillis, John Littwiller, Mount Forest and Ont; her sister Betty MacDougall; her grandchildren, Debbie Jewers, Ecum Secum, Randy Burgoyne, David Burgoyne, Lynne Gillis (Andy DeCoste) and Bedford; and her cousins, Calvin Fraser (Mary), Garden of Eden, Dot Chisholm (Arnold) and Linacy. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great, great-grandchildren.

If desired, donations may be made in Margaret's memory to Laggan Cemetery Fund.
