He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred MacDonell and Murlie MacDonell (Gourley); his son John; and his brother George. He is survived by: his wife Marlene (Cole); his sister Florence Benere; and his children, Tom (Geraldine), Anna (Andy Kenny), Peggy (Ried Hubley), Peter, Coldstream and Michael (Natalie). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
