He was predeceased by: his significant other Jennie; his parents, Muriel and Chester; and his siblings, Clifton, Phillip, Raymond and Marion.

He is survived by: his children, Kim King (Billy), Dwayne Sarty (Lisa) and Tina Dempsey (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Thomas Cleaves, Nathan Cleaves, Jacob Sarty, Elijah Mailman, Foster Mailman and Ellie Sarty; and his stepgrandchildren, Justin Clake, Olivia Thibault and Payton Dempsey. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren and his surviving siblings.
