He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira W. "Wimby" and Kathleen "Kitty" McNutt; his siblings, Foster, David, Evelyn LeBlanc (Wilfred), Lucy Matheson (James) and Joyce Lewis (Alan); and his sisters-in-law, Alice Monk and Sheryl Monk.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Lillian McNutt (Monk); his children, Lisa (Aric Sarson), Edmonton, Teresa (James Collicutt), Sydney and Timothy (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Aidan (Alanna Stolyar), Edmonton, Johnathan, Rebecca and Carolynn; his great grandchild Rayna; his sisters, Ella Roddick (late Morton), Summerside, Lena Callis (late Edward), Janet Holland (late Cecil), Kay Stewart (David), Lower Truro and Pat Stewart (James); and his brothers-in-law, Elmer Monk (Elvina), Kelowna, Robert Monk (Darlene) and Lower Truro. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
