He was predeceased by : his parents, John Smith and Jean Smith (Wagner); and his brother Douglas. He is survived by : his wife Joyce Louise (Wentzell); his children, John (Rowena) and Sherry (Don "Tex" Robinson) of Bridgetown; and his granddaughter Chloe Smith. He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.

Donations in Don's memory may made to the Annapolis Special Olympics or to the Bridgetown Baptist Church.
