He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Edith; his son David; and his brothers, Reginald and Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Twila; his daughter Janet Zwicker-Read (Rob); his stepsons, Paul Bailey (Monica), Crawford Bailey (Debbie) and Stewart Bailey (Tammy); his daughter-in-law Brenda; his grandsons, Timothy and Benjamin; his sisters-in-law, Doris and Betty; and his brother Gerry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
