He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilfred Porteous and Evelyn Porteous (Douglas). He is survived by : his wife Lynne; his children, Scott (Char) and Sandy (James); his grandchildren, Hailey Jarrett (Alex), Jessa, Ian and Liana; and his great grandchild Amellia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carey Me Fund.
