He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Knickle and Margaret Knickle (Barry); and his brother Terry. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine (Marshall); his children, Patrick (Tanya) and Lisa; his grandsons, Bradford and Mason; his brother Norman (Karen); and his siblings-in-law, Arthur Marshall (Judy), Sheila and Mary Davis (Walter). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia, Activity Department at Mountain Lea Lodge or a charity of choice.
