Betty Josephine MacNeil Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Josephine MacNeil (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia), who passed away on July 6, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Zwicker-Himmelman and Rex Taylor; her brothers, Charles Zwicker, Robert and David Himmelman; her husband Norman; and her son Gary.
She is survived by: her sister Joanne Lohnes; her children, Valerie Feindel (Tom) of Maitland Forks, Peter MacNeil (Tanya Shaw) of Broad Cove, Charles MacNeil (Jo-Anne) of Pleasantville, John MacNeil (Catherine-Anne) of Pleasantville and Lisa Burton (Stephen) of Bridgewater; and her grandchildren, Emily, Nathaniel & Stephen Feindel, Matthew, Jonathan, Alex MacNeil & Anna Weeks, Adam, Michael, Kate MacNeil, William, Christie, David MacNeil and Christopher & Sarah Burton. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church (115 Pleasant St, Bridgewater, NS B4V1N3).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lunenburg County Branch of the VON, South Shore Hospice Palliative Care Society, St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, or a charity of choice.
