She was predeceased by: her parents, Murray Townsend and Myrtle Townsend (Stephens); her brothers, William Townsend and Ivan Murray Townsend; and her brothers-in-law, Wilfred Chetwynd and Robert Bradley.

She is survived by: her husband Cedric Lowe; her daughters, Teena (Terry) and Suzette (Harry); her grandchildren, Tara (Matt) and Kory (Tamara); her great grandchild Wyatt; her siblings, Muriel, Leola and Lyall; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley and Carol. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sweeny's Funeral Home Ltd. - Bridgewater (35 York St, Bridgewater, NS B4V1R2). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church (78 Alexandra Ave, Bridgewater, NS B4V1H1). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Hebbville Cemetery (Hebbville, NS B4V6W2).
