He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Beattie and Christinia Beattie (Weir). He is survived by: his wife Joan Beattie (Hiltz); his son Donald (Jenny); his grandchildren, Hayley, Emily and Jett; his brothers-in-law, Wayne Hiltz (Muriel) and Jack Nielsen; and his close friend Art Veniot.
A funeral service was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Point Cemetery.
