He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Hirtle and Lillian Hirtle (Wentzell); his siblings, Elizabeth, Hazel, Delbert, Lester, Reginald, Lawson, Everette and Nelson; and his brother-in-law Marcus.
He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley, Leon and Frank (Judy); his nieces, Trudy (Mike) and Felicia (Matt); his great-nephews, Ashtin (Sarah), Colby (Brooke) and Landon; and also, Marcus, Everette and Melissa.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eric's memory may be made to LaHave and District Fire Department, the LaHave Islands Marine Museum or a charity of choice.
