He was predeceased by: his parents, Robie Townsend and Erna Townsend (Firth); and his significant other Sarah Muriel Townsend. He is survived by: his siblings, Mildred Goulden (Melvin), Roy Townsend (Norma), Willard Townsend (Geraldine) and Margaret Rose Hodgson (Harold); his children, Heather Hoveling (Frans), Cindy Townsend (Darren Rosta), Yvonne Townsend (Paul Rochford) and George Townsend (Kerrie Revels); his grandchildren, Daniel (Paige), Sarah (James), Jennifer (Brent), Diana (Evan), Christian, Luke, Ben, Emma (Brent) and George Jr. (Bethany); and his great grandchildren, Joslin (Jeremy), Mariah (Brady), Dominique, Noah, Liam, Brody, Ryan, Kylie, Lucas, Brennan, Hudson, Ethan and Owen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
