Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Hazel Margaret Delong (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia), who passed away at the age of 92, on October 13, 2021. She was predeceased by : her parents, Stanley Oickle and Grace Oickle (Hubley); her husband Alden DeLong; her former life partner Lawrence Veinot; and her siblings, Shirley Knickle, Fred and William Oickle.

She is survived by : her children, Larry Veinot (Sandra) and Lynn Hebb (Darrel) of Miramichi, N. B.; her grandchildren, Patrick Veinot of Germany and Nadine Veinot of Germany; her sister Florence Wile (Dougald); her nieces and nephews, Jack, Sherry, Darren, Kevin and Debbie; and her close friends, Janet Cook, Vera West, Annette Hubley, Phyllis Meisner and Sharon Snyder.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Hazel's memory may be made to the Lunenburg County SPCA.

“I am so sorry for your Loss. I knew Hazel and her family since we were young children. We moved to PEI, 39 years ago,though I had seen Hazel a few times since,and we shared many memories. Hazel was a very loving and giving person,and I know you all will have many memories to carry youforward. Sending love to all the family ! Jeanne Brewster”
