Hiltz Tanner Obituary

We bid farewell to Hiltz Tanner of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 25, 2025. Hiltz touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Napier Hiltz and Phyllis Tanner. He is survived by: his wife Dora Tanner; his children, Hiltz Tanner Jr. (Vicky) of British Columbia and Marie Tanner (Dwayne) of Bridgewater; and his grandchildren, Zander Slauenwhite and Quintin Slauenwhite (Candace).

A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Blessed Hope Baptist Church (569 Oakhill Rd, Oak Hill, NS B4V0C7).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tanner family or to Ground Search and Rescue of Lunenburg County—both causes close to his heart.
