He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis DeLong and Estella DeLong (Joudrey); and his brother Dr. William "Billy" DeLong. He is survived by: his wife Tina VantHof; his children, Jennifer Wilkie (Sean), LaHave, Joel DeLong, Barss Corner and Anna Pepneck (David); his grandchildren, Ethan DeLong of Vauxhall, Alb., Barss Corner of Vauxhall, Alb., Westen Pepneck of Vauxhall, Alb., Stirling Pepneck of Vauxhall, Alb. and Jaxson Pepneck of Vauxhall, Alb.; his children, Hannah Wilkie and Noah Wilkie of Fredericton, NB; and his siblings, Patricia Dickie (Greg), Pamela DeLong and Ralph DeLong (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and the VantHof extended family.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bridgewater Baptist Church (564 Glen Allan Dr, Bridgewater, NS B4V4A4).
