He is survived by: his mother Hazel Caldwell (Thorpe); and his siblings, Henry Caldwell (Jeanette) of Surrey, BC, Howard Caldwell, Anne Chapman of Ottawa, ON and Jeanne Caldwell (Kevin Piggott). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
