She was predeceased by: her parents, William Eaton and Martha Eaton (Coldwell); her husband Eric Porter; her children, Gwendolyn Hickey, Gordon and Blaine; and her sister Bertha Wood.

She is survived by: her son Edward Hickey of Canning; and her friends, Gladys Martian of Sheffield Mills and Mona Reagan of Port Williams.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Cornwallis Baptist Church.

“I often wondered how to get in touch with June after Gwen passed away. I tried the phone number that I had but it didn't work. I also tried through a Facebook friend of Gwen's. I was sad to see that she left us last July, but my first thought was that she is now with her three children. She had lots of sorrow in life. I live in Massachusetts, and visited June, Gwen and Edward when I came to the Valley for a visit in 2015. RIP June. Ann (McKinnon) Davidson”
